I like to keep my work life and private life separate, and this manchild keeps trying to interject himself into my life. I just want to be left alone, and he keeps trying to talk to me and asks about my personal life. He keeps trying to whine about me avoiding him, and complains because he thinks I don’t do anything with my life, even though he knows nothing about it. It’s gotten to the point where I’ve gotten mad at him, and when he finds me he yells at me. I fucking hate this prick and wish I could quit.
I know how you feel. I have a female (temp) co-worker whom I absolutely despise. She has only been here a few months but she immediately began competing with me about everything: my hours, my desk, my work cell-phone, my printer, the personal items on my desk. The more I ignored and avoided her, the more she tried to drag me into her personal problems and asked me nosey questions about my life. She is simply awful, insecure, needy, pushy and manipulative. She is finally taking the hint and leaving me alone now, but not before I reported her behavior (with examples) to management. I love my job and all my other coworkers but she does not belong here in any fashion. I have documented everything and shared it with the appropriate people; now I hope they will get rid of her and not call me out for being a snitch. That’s the problem with dealing with this type of reptilian asshole, they try to push YOU into responding to them in a way that makes you look bad. Beware.
